Several T&BD partners participate in a cross-regional ecosystem for digital & green agrifood event

In the framework of the CREDAS project (Cross Regional Eco-system for Digital Agrifood Services), the Traceability & Big Data co-leader region of Emilia Romagna through CLUST-ER and Parco Agroalimentare FVG - Agrifood & Bioeconomy Cluster Agency from the partner region Friuli Venezia Giulia, organized an online PIC event last 17th of May, called “Cross-Regional ecosystem for digital & green agrifood services & policies: examples of multi regional approaches”.

Various approaches were discussed which aim at the proper functioning of interregional ecosystems for digital agri-food services: ecosystem services that favor the creation of adequate framework conditions; technological and innovation services and commercial services.

Specifically, five case studies were presented during the event:

  1. The recent CREDAS project, funded by SmartAgriHubs, a collaboration between the Traceability & Big Data partners of Emilia-Romagna and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions, which are committed to cooperating at an interregional level to develop a portfolio of services for agri-food companies, reducing the gap between supply and demand of innovation.
  2. The cross-border experience of the CLAC project, based on the creation, within the multimodal platform Furnitz-Villach in Austria, of a new logistics center and advanced services (handling, portioning, slicing, packaging) for refrigerated food products, benefit of operators in Germany, Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
  3. The role of "DIH Cluster-Lead for France" of the Pays de la Loire region, also member of Traceability & Big Data, within the SmartAgriHubs project which aims at the optimization and mutualisation of digital services and infrastructures being one of the objectives of the SmartAgriHubs approach meta-cluster.
  4. The new DIVA X project, coming from the previous DIVA project, engaged to our Partnership, which aims to develop new joint services in four countries to facilitate the development of digital solutions in agriculture (digital services for agrifood) to accelerate the green transition (smart agriculture, energy consumption).
  5. Clusters meet regions, as another example of how regions should mobilize clusters for the design and implementation of twin transition policies, a European Commission initiative through the European Cluster Collaboration Platform.
