On March 31st, the Traceability & Big Data in Circular Bioeconomy Working Group held its latest meeting. A key focus of the session was to officially introduce the new leadership team from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK), which coordinates this Working Group on behalf of the South Ostrobothnia region.
Terhi Korpi, who has served as the group’s coordinator until now, introduced her successors: Anu Palomäki (Project Specialist and Project Portfolio Coordinator) and Markus Ojala (Project Manager).
Following an update on recent activities carried out in collaboration with the ReScoping Service of the S3 Community of Practice, the group reviewed an analysis of survey results collected from its members. The survey captured current interests and emerging challenges relevant to the Working Group’s scope.
During the session, members validated the group’s mission, objectives, and working definitions, incorporating feedback received from partners and building consensus around the strategic direction. A key item on the agenda also included a preliminary review of upcoming project calls potentially aligned with the group’s thematic focus.
The meeting concluded with agreement on next steps and a tentative date for the next gathering, scheduled for late May or early June. Additionally, during the next technical meeting of all Traceability & Big Data partners, the new coordinators will present an overview of the Working Group’s current activities and plans for the future. The coordinators will also work together with the Demonstration Service of the S3 Community of Practice in the upcoming months.
On behalf of the Coordination Team of the Traceability & Big Data Partnership in the agrifood value chain, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Terhi Korpi for her dedication and leadership, and we wish her the very best in her upcoming projects at SeAMK.
